Patio screens in Bridgeport · Texas
Lake houses, a porch with panels and a screen.
Bridgeport is lake country northwest of Fort Worth, and the porches face the water and the wind. One wide motorized screen with fixed panels either side closes a porch against both. It is a drive from Farmers Branch, about an hour and a half, and we make it for the right job.
The houses, and what suits them.
Lake houses with covered porches on the water side, wide openings with narrow side lights that take fixed panels. A motorized screen in the middle, fixed panels at the sides, the frames matched to the trim.

Light on light, dark for the view.
Black fabric on the motorized screen for the view of the water; the fixed panels in the same frame color.

What Bridgeport homeowners ask us first.
Do you work that far from Dallas?
Yes, for a job that justifies the drive: a lake house porch, a full patio. The measuring visit and the installation are each a day; everything else is the same as a job in Southlake.
Can screens go on a house that is already finished?
Yes, and most of our work is. The housing surface-mounts above the opening and the side tracks go on the face of the posts or jambs, with 120 V brought to the motor end. Recessed, hidden housings are for new construction, planned before the ceiling closes.
How wide can one screen be?
Up to 22 1/2 ft on a zipper track, 25 ft recessed. A wider patio is split at a post or column so every screen stops at the same line.
How long does it take?
Three to four weeks from the deposit to installation, most of it the screens being made to your measurements in Richardson. Installation is usually a day.

Guide · Motorized Screens · Dallas–Fort WorthThe Patio, Usable in August
A Dallas patio sits empty from June to September for three reasons — the afternoon sun, the insects, and the wind. Exterior screens answer all three, then come up out of sight when the evening turns pleasant.
Guide · Motorized Screens · Zip-Track & WindZipper-Track Screens and the Texas Wind
What holds a motorized screen in place when the wind comes up is the track. Here is how a zipper-track screen works, what it handles, and the honest limit — plus the sensor that raises it before a storm can do any harm.
Guide · Automation · ELAN, Control4 & SomfyScreens on the Same App as Your House
Because Outdoor Shades is a Blue Note A/V company, your patio screens do not have to live on a separate remote. They run on the same control system as the house — on a timeclock, a keypad, or the app you already use.
Guide · Pricing · One Written PriceWhat Patio Screens Cost, and What Sets the Price
We do not post a single price, because there is not one — each opening is measured and made for it. But the things that move the number are no mystery. Here is what sets the cost of patio screens, and how we quote it.
