Patio screens in Trophy Club · Texas

Golf-course lots, wind off the fairway.

Trophy Club patios look out on a fairway or a greenbelt, which means open ground and more wind than a fenced yard sees. Zipper-track screens hold in it, and a wind sensor raises them when it blows too hard. We measure, make and install from Farmers Branch, about thirty-five minutes up 114.

About 35 minutes from our Farmers Branch showroom, up 121 and 114.

The houses, and what suits them.

Brick and stone with covered patios open to a course or a greenbelt, outdoor kitchens and fireplaces, and side openings beside a grill. Dark screens on the brick, a single screen per opening, with a wind sensor on the exposed elevations.

The fabric for Trophy Club

Light on light, dark for the view.

Black or charcoal on the brick, where the view to the fairway is the point. A stone fireplace wall usually gets a fixed panel beside the screened opening.

Questions from Trophy Club

What Trophy Club homeowners ask us first.

How do the screens handle the wind off the course?

The fabric edge is welded into a zipper that rides inside the side tracks, so the screen is held on three sides and does not flap. The supplier rates them to about 35 to 40 mph; above that, raise them, and a wind sensor on the house does it on its own.

Do I need HOA approval in Trophy Club?

Usually yes for anything on the exterior, and most associations approve screens on the rear elevation when the frame color matches the trim. We give you a one-page submittal with the frame color, the fabric and a photo of a similar installation, which is what the architectural committee wants to see.

Can screens go on a house that is already finished?

Yes, and most of our work is. The housing surface-mounts above the opening and the side tracks go on the face of the posts or jambs, with 120 V brought to the motor end. Recessed, hidden housings are for new construction, planned before the ceiling closes.

How long does it take?

Three to four weeks from the deposit to installation, most of it the screens being made to your measurements in Richardson. Installation is usually a day.
