Patio screens in Plano · Texas

Brick patios, two columns, two screens.

Plano patios are brick-columned and face the yard: a covered patio off the family room, two or three bays between the columns, and the west sun across them from mid-afternoon. One screen per bay, all stopped at the same line, turns the patio into a room. We measure, make and install from Farmers Branch, about twenty-five minutes up the Tollway.

About 25 minutes from our Farmers Branch showroom, up the Dallas North Tollway.

The houses, and what suits them.

Brick on established lots, covered patios with brick columns, a lawn beyond. Dark screens between the columns so the yard stays in view, one per bay, with the housing under the eave.

The fabric for Plano

Light on light, dark for the view.

Black, charcoal or brown on the brick; a dark screen disappears against a brick column and keeps the view. Light fabrics where the house is painted.

Questions from Plano

What Plano homeowners ask us first.

Do I need HOA approval in Plano?

Usually yes for anything on the exterior, and most associations approve screens on the rear elevation when the frame color matches the trim. We give you a one-page submittal with the frame color, the fabric and a photo of a similar installation, which is what the architectural committee wants to see.

Can screens go on a house that is already finished?

Yes, and most of our work is. The housing surface-mounts above the opening and the side tracks go on the face of the posts or jambs, with 120 V brought to the motor end. Recessed, hidden housings are for new construction, planned before the ceiling closes.

How wide can one screen be?

Up to 22 1/2 ft on a zipper track, 25 ft recessed. A wider patio is split at a post or column so every screen stops at the same line.

How long does it take?

Three to four weeks from the deposit to installation, most of it the screens being made to your measurements in Richardson. Installation is usually a day.
