Will a screen block the view?
Less than you expect. A dark fabric reads like a window screen from inside: the yard, the pool and the hill stay in the picture, and the glare, the heat and the insects do not.
Do I need HOA approval in Grapevine?
Usually yes for anything on the exterior, and most associations approve screens on the rear elevation when the frame color matches the trim. We give you a one-page submittal with the frame color, the fabric and a photo of a similar installation, which is what the architectural committee wants to see.
How wide can one screen be?
Up to 22 1/2 ft on a zipper track, 25 ft recessed. A wider patio is split at a post or column so every screen stops at the same line.
How long does it take?
Three to four weeks from the deposit to installation, most of it the screens being made to your measurements in Richardson. Installation is usually a day.
